Sean is the son of Janie Stillman and Carl. He first appeared in the 16th case of the second season, "Revenge", and last in the 15th case of the fourth season, "Blood on the Tracks".

Sean was born around 2004/2005 as the only child of Janie and Carl. He was first seen as an infant during his baptismal ceremony in "Revenge". Two years later, a toddler Sean was last seen visiting his maternal grandfather, John Stillman, in his office, where he was taken care of for the day while his parents were working on their marriage. Sean was known to be very close to his grandpa and is also an Avatar fan (he was holding Aang's toy figure).
