Rainey Karlsen was the murder victim of the episode "Stand Up and Holler". She was a 16-year-old junior at Birmingham High School.
Rainey was chosen alongside her best friend, Celeste Church, to join the varsity cheerleading squad by the captain, Becca Abrams. Overtime though, she became disillusioned with popularity and befriended outcast Joe Vives-Alvarez. Rainey decided to quit the squad and as a result, would be murdered by two people: her captain, Becca, and her own best friend, Celeste. Their reasons were revenge (Becca) and silence (Celeste).
After her case was solved, Joe imagined seeing Rainey on the field in normal clothes rather than her cheerleader uniform.
