Norman Campbell was the father of Melanie Campbell, who disappeared and was presumed murdered in 1975 in "Fireflies". He was the only white adult living in the neighbourhood in 1975 who didn't exhibit any racism towards the Pierce family.
Unlike his wife, Frances, Norman believed his daughter died in 1975. However, the police found Melanie, who had lost her memory and lived as an orphan for 30 years in another state, and she was happily reunited with Norman and Frances.
