Kara Dhiet is the daughter of Sen and Channary Dhiet who were killed in 1991 in "Who's Your Daddy?". She lives with her aunt Mei and uncle Arun Prak and helps them at the family restaurant in Kensington.
When her parents got killed, Kara ran out from the apartment and bumped into Daryl Booker, whom she desperately asked for help. After Booker agreed to help Kara, he made a 911 phone call. Kara was unaware about Booker's past life as a drug addict along with her mother's drug addiction.
13 years after her parents' deaths, Kara went to Detective Lilly Rush to reopen the case when she discovered her mother's bracelet, which had been stolen on the night of the murders, being sold on eBay.
During the investigation, Detective Rush informed Kara that Kara's mother was actually Cambodian royalty. Kara explained that her mother used to tell her stories. Kara admitted that she snuck out her mother's bracelet for Show and Tell at school, but began to get upset, thinking that she may caused her parents' death by telling all her classmates, teacher, and assistant about the bracelet. This caused Booker to confront Rush for upsetting Kara.
Kara later went to the police station when she heard that Booker was being questioned. When Detective Rush reassured Kara that they let Booker go, Kara told the detective that they should arrest her father's boss, Brad Atwater, and revealed that Atwater liked having women lick his boots after she heard it from her aunt and uncle's conversation. After Atwater's arrest, Rush came to the restaurant and gave the bracelet to Kara, much to Kara's surprise. Kara then ran outside and happily embraced Booker while her parents' spirits watch over her.
