Jackie was the fourth husband of Ellen Rush, and thereby the stepfather of Lilly Rush and Christina Rush.
Jackie appeared devoted to Ellen, but their romance didn't last long as they were married for less than a year when he left her. This may be due to finding out the truth about Ellen's personality, as prior to their marriage, she had presented herself as being a lightweight when it came to drinking, when in truth she was an alcoholic. Jackie's leaving had a profoundly negative effect on Ellen, who passed away shortly afterward.
