J. Wyatt was the presiding judge in the bail hearing of Major Moe Kitchener, who had been charged with running Detective Lilly Rush's car off a bridge in 2009.
Judge Wyatt initially appeared favorable to the prosecution when he allowed Lilly to explain her evidence against Moe during defense attorney A.J. Pritchard's cross-examination of her, overruling Pritchard's objections.
Ultimately, however, he granted bail for Moe at a much lower setting than the prosecution had called for, citing Moe's military service and a perceived lack of flight risk.
