Bernie was the partner of drug dealer Cliff Harper. He would be part of the brutal attack on Cliff’s girlfriend, Christina Rush who be ambushed by the two and then taken by them to New Jersey. She would be sadly too part of their drug dealing business. Detective Lilly Rush, Christina’s older sister and her partner, detective Scotty Valens, one of Christina’s many former romances would take down him down by ambushing him in his home in Philadelphia and handcuffing him in a closet, leaving him behind, but leaving with important info: where Christina and Cliff are.
